Headway rebuilding lives

Headway rebuilding lives (Hrl) is a specialist community based rehabilitation service for people with disabilities, specialising in supporting people with acquired brain injury (ABI), their families and social networks.

We are the largest acquired brain injury specific service provider in Tasmania and have over 20 years experience in supporting hundreds of people who have acquired brain injury, please see our Vision Statement below or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

We know that no two brain injuries are the same and every injury is different.

We know people can acquire brain injury through traffic accident, assault, hypoxia, tumour, sporting injury, substance abuse, medical misadventure and infection or degenerative neurological diseases.

And we know that dealing with acquired brain injury is not easy. It is not easy for the person affected nor is it easy for people around them.

That’s why we are here to help.
We work one-on-one with people who have ABI, with family members, partners, brothers, sisters, friends, other carers and medical and health specialists. Whatever the situation we are here to assist you.

Feel free to give us a call and we’ll help answer your questions and provide a listening ear. We can provide a range of services and support on a one-on-one support basis or in small group activities. We specialise in promoting skill development and social re-integration through our programs which include employment, community rehabilitation, outreach, respite, referrals, carer support and training. We can provide 24/7 support depending on the level of funding available.

Call us on 1300 138 296.
